move my daughter

(talking about Luke 13) “But I want you to notice that Jesus asked her to do something, He asked her to come to Him, She had to leave wherever she was standing and come over to Him. She had to make her way to Jesus, in faith, even though she couldn’t stand up and straight enough to see Him.” (page 36)

This. This is what I have begun to eat up in scripture. All the time people, women especially, called out to the Lord but the movement didn’t happen until they took action. One of my all time favorites is in Mark 5. He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). God is all good and all powerful. He can do anything with or without our movement, but how much stronger our relationship becomes when we recognize the strength of the Lord then fall into it willing to move into His strength and presence. I feel like I always complain about why things are not happening in my life but then I evaluate and recognize that I am not moving. I don’t know it just speaks to me on a personal level like Lucy just get up and move.
