verse 1 “Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.”
This reminds me of in the Bible where it says something like shout it from the rooftops.
Matthew 10:27 “What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!” (NLT)
Like find the highest point where everyone (not really but you get the point) can hear you and see you and share the good news. For some reason it always gives me the feels when the Lord says Arise. It is like He is saying… “really girl get up for my kingdom and do my work. Wake up for real. warriors do not sleep all day…they get up and fight…and in Me they win.” but He says it kindly, in a gentle way.
arise

we women are the warriors of God. we find our strength in Him and we cannot be moved. “when we fall on our knees the battle has not ended but it has just begun.”
Ephesians 6:10-11 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
Revelation 12:11 “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”
In verse 3 the Lord ain’t playing no games. “O my people, what have I done to you? How have I wearied you? Answer me!”
He said Answer Me! Like He already knows so why hold it back. Why try and hide something in the dark from someone who has night vision goggles. Why try and keep something in the dark from the one who IS THE LIGHT? Newsflash darkness can’t out-darken the shininess of the light.
verse 4 “For I brought you up from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery”
I just love the word redeemed. It has so much power and Jesus can redeem anyone from anything and wow I just love Him.

rejoice. be happy. be filled and overflow with joy. we have been redeemed from the house of slavery. there is no other option and no argument. we live in the house of freedom. “we are no longer slaves for we are children of God.”
verse 8 I love it. “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
I love it because God doesn’t require us to do works. In the previous verses, He doesn’t make us bring Him things, bring Him offerings, do things to make Him happy, but all He wants is us. He wants us to do justice, Love kindness, and walk humbly with Him. wow.
He wants us.
but verse 9 though “The voice of the Lord cries to the city—and it is sound wisdom to fear your name” .
.. I really just like how it is written. It is sound wisdom to fear Your name. It’s just common sense.
תּוּשִׁיָּה the original Hebrew for the word tushiyyah meaning: wisdom, sound, efficient wisdom, abiding success.
We should fear the Lord. But fear Him because He is good. Fear Him because without Him who are we. We are nothing and that should be scary. But at least we got the real one.

arise. shout it from the rooftops. warriors. undefeated in Christ. the light outshines. rejoice for redemption. be with God. sound wisdom : abiding success. fear for goodness. share it. it as in the news. the good news. share love.
