Beloved, Create

I pray the words of Psalm 51:10 which say, “Create in me a clean heart, O God,  and renew a right [or steadfast] spirit within me.” I invite you to take a moment to pray those words out loud to the Lord, invite Him to clean your heart and create in it something pure with no room but for Him. Ask the Lord to make your faith for Him steadfast meaning unwavering and firm.

To create is to bring (something) into existence or cause (something) to happen as a result of one’s actions. The [ESV] bible has roughly 53 mentions of the word create [taking into account other versions of the word] give or take a few mentions. All of them connect the Lord to being the creator. These 53 passages illustrate that God is [and forever will be] the ultimate creator, because each one mentions His hand in the works. Nothing can be created without a creator… Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”

We are all created for a reason, for moments that God crafts into our lives, we need to be still in the Lord trusting Him with each moment. We have to exercise our faith constantly with or without examples of what the harvest has produced but rather a steadfast certainty that God is using us when we are filled with Him.  God created us in His hands to be His beloved… I say we take a few art lessons from Him.
